BEHIND THE CURTAIN
An interactive installation that prompts the user to view the world through a new point of view.
A table, catalyst of the whole interaction, prompts the audience to crawl underneath,
referencing the act of a child, though the eyes of an adult. Every time the tablecloth is raised, a new projected scene appears, portraying the world from the spectator’s point of view. Legs and feet become the main characters: personal stories, social contexts, human conditions and relationships are narrated through their behaviour, and the user will become at the same time innocent observer, voyeur and spectator of a world that appears to be new, despite being always around us. The piece is intended as a playful interaction that engages the user into an unusual theatrical exploration of space and narrative, celebrating the power of storytelling as medium able to reveal intricate plots and dynamics behind apparently clueless scenes.
