The Qualified Life

An embodied Dystopian experience that will reimagine the delicate balance between our work and ourselves.

The Qualified Life is the final outcome of a year long research into Quantified Self and policies of workplace monitoring.
In taking a critical and satirical approach to the current trend of Quantified Self and Internet of Things in product design, I explore the ethical quandaries of employee monitoring and risk management policies in the workplace, as they exist in the form of gamification, pervasive computing technology, and corporate wellness. The resulting stage of my project will manifest as an embodied Dystopian experience that will reimagine the delicate balance between our work and ourselves.
