Youmna Aoukar and Daniela Gill

Cu·rio is an immersive, fantastical, office cubicle belonging to a dreamy copywriter named Lola.

The Cu·rio experience is narrated by the fictional Lola, an advertising copywriter, who faces and solves some unique personal and professional challenges. The immersive art installation comments critically on the everyday life, or lack of the same, endured by millions in office cubicles worldwide.  The piece surrounds the participant with surreal interactive artifacts that, when engaged, reveal bits and pieces of Lola’s story.

As visitors transport themselves into this innovative tale, they will begin to question which carries more truth, the material culture of Lola’s imagination or the workplaces of their own experience?

Youmna Aoukar

Youmna Aoukar is a multidisciplinary artist and designer who's work focuses on human perception, senses and narrative. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon she has a background in visual design having worked in both digital agencies as well as creating unique branding identities for several startups in New York as well as businesses in Beirut. She currently freelances and is looking to work on installations in the intersection of art and technology.

Daniela Gill

Tireless seeker of knowledge, innovation and creative solutions. Extremely passionate about graphic design, interactive media, fine art and photography.

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Came to New York to pursue her BFA in Communication Design at Parsons The New School for Design. Spent two years working and studying in Los Angeles, California and then she returned back to New York to work at a brand and design consultancy specializing in strategic design communications and later to start the MFA Digital Design & Technology program.
