GIFPOW.TV creates a platform that facilitates a personalized collection of animated GIFs by making them accessible through a direct stream to your television. GIFPOW.TV’s customizable archive allows the user to tap into the wealth of visual online culture with a playlist feature that creates a seamless viewing experience. Such a feature allows the user to control the curation from their personalized archive of animated GIFs.
The open technologies of Raspberry PI enables an inexpensive and accessible means to connect visual internet culture to the ubiquitous living room fixture, the television. GIFPOW.TV engages the user in the transposition of generally isolated online content to a real time, customizable narrative.
